This is mostly to be quick and hopefully helpful to Crescendo: RSS readers.
Best free option for mac/ios users: NetNewsWire It's hard to beat the simplicity and quality for $0. The developer is a genuinely good person, too.
The only PC option I know of that iIve used is Feedly. Its base tier is free but the interface is confusing.
As for adding things to feeds: copy the URL for the blog > click/tap the + (or "add") button > paste URL. The reader should do the rest.
